2022: Laois County Council Civic Reception & Achievement Award

On Friday May 27th 2022, the Laois Association Dublin were honoured to be guests of Laois County Council and in particular the then Cathaoirleach Conor Bergin. The Cathaoirleach paid tribute to the Association and their work throughout the decades in promoting the county within the capital city.
Chairman of the Laois Association Dublin, Gerry Thompson, thanked the Cathaoirleach and spoke about the changing role of the Association throughout those decades. He in particular paid tribute to the role of Colm and Bridie Healion in keeping the Association alive and relevant throughout those years. Cathaoirleach Bergin made a presentation to Chairman Gerry Thompson in honour of the work of the Association. A bronze piece and a certificate were presented by Cathaoirleach Bergin
Some musical interludes were provided by the amazingly talented Music Generation Laois. The event finished with refreshments kindly provided by Laois County Council.
