Winter Combination Event 2024 – Laois Association Dublin, 2025

Our Winter 2024 Combination Event took place on Saturday 14th December 2024.

On that memorable day we held our 75th Anniversary Winter Combination Event at the Teachers’ Club, Parnell Square, Dublin 1. The event consisted of the following schedule:

12.00 Noon: 2024 AGM
12:45 pm: Ecumenical Service
13:30 – 5:00 pm: Christmas Lunch / Entertainment

Father James Daly led a poignant memorial service for deceased members and loved ones of members. On the day the Association lovingly remembered Frank Bergin, Michael Campion and Deirdre O’Connell sister of Betty Wilson.

‘It’s Party Time’ …

The Ecumenical Service was followed by Christmas Lunch and following that, entertainment was provided by our own Sandy Metcalfe with members joining in along the way.

‘It’s Raffle Time‘….

Members and friends attending the event contributed a very interesting variety of Spot Prizes which were raffled at intervals throughout the entertainment part of the afternoon. Among them was a specially commissioned commemorative plaque to remember the famous Laois Team who were crowned All Ireland Senior Hurling Champions in 1915.
